As you know, I'm about to spend the next 3 months of my life in South America, in Peru. I'll be leaving September 1 and returning December 1! The program is through my school and it's known as the Study Service Term (SST). I will be heading down with 10 other people from my school. We will be taking classes and living in Lima (capital) for the first 6 weeks and living with host families. For the second six weeks, we will be heading out to live with another host family doing service. I will not know what my service project is until the end of the first 6 weeks. I will do my best to keep this blog updated! This is a very exciting time...I have no idea what to expect other than trying some crazy new Peruvian cuisine and exploring one of the seven wonders of the world...MACHU PICCHU!
